PASOS A SEGUIR:

1.     Brainstorming. (Tormenta de ideas)

Asegúrate de que has entendido el tema. Entonces, muy rápidamente anota todas las ideas que te sugiere.

No te preocupes de si la idea es relevante o no.

No te preocupes sobre la gramática o la ortografía. Puedes escribirlo en español si quieres.

Lo importante es escribir todas las ideas antes de que se te olviden.

2.      Planning. (Planear)

Agrupa las ideas similares en grupos. Da a cada grupo un nombre. Numera los grupos en un orden lógico.

Tacha las ideas irrelevantes.

3.     Fast Writing. (Escritura rápida)

Rápidamente anota los matices de cada una de las ideas principales. Si no sabes la palabra en Ingles, escríbela en tu lengua. No escribas frases completas y no te preocupes por la ortografía. Lo más importante son las ideas.

4.    Drafting.  (Borrador)

Ahora estás preparado para empezar a escribir, utiliza tu guía del paso 2.

Escribe en lápiz (si es posible). Deja anchos márgenes para escribir anotaciones. Deja espacio entre líneas para añadir cosas y corregir las que tienes.

Escribe rápido. No te preocupes por los errores.

5.    Improving. (Mejorar)

Cuando hayas terminado de escribir el borrador, tienes que mejorarlo. Léelo de nuevo y marca las cosas que tienes que mejorar.

6.    Presenting. (Presentación)

Cuando estés satisfecho con tu trabajo, preséntalo de una manera atractiva. Asegúrate de incluir todas las correcciones.

Deja margen en ambos lados.

Asegúrate de que tus párrafos son claramente identificables. Empieza a escribir un centímetro más a la derecha que los demás, y deja una línea entre párrafo y párrafo. 

Connectors 

Contrast

 but / yet: followed by a noun phrase or a sentence. 

‘The book is short but / yet interesting’

in spite of / despite: It is placed at the beginning or in the middle of the sentence.

‘He arrived on time despite / in spite of getting up late’

although / though/ even though / in spite of the fact that: followed by a complete sentence. They can be placed at the beginning or in the middle of the sentence. If it is placed at the beginning we need to use a comma after the clause.  

  ‘Although / though / even though / in spite of the fact that the pupils had not studied, they all passed their exams’. 

  

however, nevertheless, even so, on the one hand, on the other hand, on the contrary: 

‘He was quite ill however/ nevertheless/ even so, he went to school’

  

while, whereas   

‘This film is very interesting, while/whereas that one is quite boring’  

Reason and cause

because, as since, seeing that:  

‘Because / as / since / seeing that it’s late, we should go home’ 

. because of, on account of, owing to, due to: 

    ‘Because of / on account of / owing to / due to the weather, we stayed at home’

. in order to, so as to, to:

Add information

. for example, for instante, such as: 

‘Vegetables are a good source of vitamins: for example / for instance, oranges have vitamin C’ 

. moreover, furthermore, besides, in addition to: 

‘In addition to soul music, she likes rap’ 

. apart from, except for: 

‘Apart from English, she speaks French’.

Succession

. - First of all / Firstly / To begin with / First ….

 Result

. As a result of:
